Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP)

Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUPing) is a great way to explore the river and get a workout at the same time. Cascades Club has four SUPs that are free for use by club members. Before reserving and using a SUP, club members must take a required Introduction to SUP course. Members who have already taken the course do not need to take it again each season.

Learn the basics of Stand Up Paddle Boarding in a fun group setting. Starting on dry land, you’ll learn correct paddle height and hand placement, equipment overview, kneeling and standing on a board, as well as water safety and SUP etiquette. We then move to the water and learn how to safely get on and off the board, proper standing technique, paddling techniques, turning and maneuvering the board.
